How can you have some Heritage fun even though you missed out on tickets?

  • Have a boat or a friend with a boat? Pack a lunch or dinner and some drinks and anchor out at the 18th hole. It's a lot of fun. The energy on the water is electric. You can even take a water taxi into Harbour Town from your boat.
  • Head to your favorite watering hole. All the local bars and restaurants will have the tournament on tv.
  • Go to Harbour Town in the evenings for local music, and there's always a chance to see a golfer (and maybe you'll end up on a yacht)! 
  • Have a watch party at your house and play the Golf Classics station on Spotify. It won't disappoint.

Welcome to your home tax deduction checklist! For homeowners, this kind of guidance is essential in the wake of all the changes ushered in by the new tax plan, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, that are still rolling in.

The biggest change for 2021? The standard deduction jumped a couple of hundred dollars for taxpayers—to $12,550 for individuals, $18,800 for heads of household, and $25,100 for married couples filing jointly. And this higher number means you need to dig into all of your home expenses to see if their total sum tops the standard deduction, depending on your filing status.     • 4 (4-6 ounce) salmon filets, cut into bite size chunks
    • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
    • 1-2 tablespoons chopped chipotle in adobo
    • 3 tablespoons honey
    • 1 teaspoon smoked or regular paprika
    • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
    • kosher salt and black pepper
    • warm tortillas, shredded cabbage/lettuce, and avocado, for serving
